A Doutora Ana Colaço encontra-se em Busan, Coreia do Sul, para participar no Workshop on the Development of the Regional Environmental Management Plan for the Area of the Northwest Pacific Ocean, with a focus on Management Assessment, entre 18 a 21 de maio.

Este workshop é organizado pela International Seabed Authority (ISA), em conjunto com o Ministério dos Oceanos e das Pescas da República da Coreia e o Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology.

As discussões centrar-se-ão na avaliação da gestão no âmbito do procedimento normalizado para o desenvolvimento, estabelecimento e revisão dos Planos Regionais de Gestão Ambiental (REMPs). Entre os principais temas em debate destacam-se:

ENG  Our colleague Ana Colaço is at Busan, South Korea to participate on the Workshop on the development of the regional environmental management plan for the Area of the Northwest Pacific Ocean, with a focus on management assessment, from May 18–21.
This workshop is organized by the International Seabed Authority (ISA), together with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology. The workshop discussions will focus on management assessment under the standardised procedure for the development, establishment and review of REMPs. Key topics include: * Region-specific environmental goals and objectives * Area-based and other management measures * Priorities and strategies for environmental research and monitoring * Implementation strategies through collaboration and cooperation This workshop will support regional efforts towards effective environmental management and sustainable governance of the seabed area.
